Sri Lanka 'A' retain same team for second one dayer [September 20 2008]

Sri Lanka 'A' has retained the same team, which did duty for them on Friday, for the second one day 'international' against South Africa 'A' to be played in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday.

Sri Lanka 'A' pulled off a dramatic three-run win in the first unofficial one day international concluded at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom last night.

Electing to bat first in the day-night game, Sri Lanka 'A' made 274 for 6 in 50 overs with Upul Tharanga (56 off 68 balls), Thilina Kandamby 67 off 82 balls) and Angelo Mathews (70 off 72 balls) making notable contributions.

In reply, the home team was bowled out for 271 in 49.4 overs with opener Imraan Khan (61) and Alviro Peterson (60) making half centuries. Medium paceman Ishara Amarasinghe bagged 5 for 44 to be adjudged man of the match.
