Minor explosion in Fort (2nd lead)

Police Spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said that the bomb was placed under a parked Lite Ace van. SSP Gunasekara added that 250 grams of explosives may have been used. The Police are continuing further investigations.

A minor explosion along Malwaththa road in Colombo Fort area around 12.30 p.m. today (29) damaged five cars and vans that were in the vehicle park. One woman and a man with minor injuries have been admitted to the Colombo General Hospital for treatment, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.
