Two persons were injured due to a landmine explosion near the TMVP office in Vandaramulla, Batticaloa today. Batticaloa police said the mine exploded at around 6:30 a.m while the injured persons were cleaning the party office premises.
The Injured have been admitted to the Batticaloa hospital. Hospital sources said both of his legs of a party office employee had to be amputated to save his life. Another Batticaloa police is conducting further investigations.
