Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama will head the Sri Lankan delegation to the Spring Sessions of the World Bank and IMF to be held in Washington DC later this week.
The other members of the delegation are Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Ranee Jayamaha, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, R. A. Jayatissa, Deputy Secretary to the Treasury and Dr. P. N. Weerasinghe of the Central Bank.
The meeting of the IMF and World Bank is a major event particularly in view of the economic crisis in the United States and its consequences for the rest of the world.
