SLAF attack choppers clear way for 57 Division

<p>An LTTE strongpoint north-east of Akkarayankulam, offering stiff resistance to advancing troops of the 57 Division has been attacked and destroyed by SLAF Mi24 attack helicopters this afternoon (Nov. 22) around 2. 15, causing heavy damage and casualties to the Tigers, says SLAF spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara. Ground troops have confirmed the success of the attack.
