Prasanna to be the WPC Chief Minister

Government sources says that Presanna Ranatunga is to be appointed as the Chief Minister of the Western Provincial Council.

The ruling UPFA has won Colombo, Gampaha and Kaluthara districts in the 2009 Western Provincial Council Polls (WPC).

UPFA – 1,506,115 votes - 68 seats
