Water cut to end at 7 tonight

The current 1- hour water cut now experienced in parts of Colombo owing to essential repairs, is scheduled to end by 7 p.m. today.  The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that water supply to areas in Bambalapitiya junction to Collpety junction along Galle road, Independence Avenue, Reid Avenue, Flower Road, Munidasa Kumaratunga Mawatha, 5th Lane and all by-roads in the area was interrupted from 9 this morning for urgent maintenance and repairs and that they would make every endeavour to resume the service no sooner the repairs are concluded.
