An unidentified man, who is on a protest on top of a hoarding near the Viharamaha Devi roundabout, in Colombo, urged the authorities to give him a chance to speak to President Mahinda Rajapaksa, so that he will give up the protest.
The police has called the fire brigade and attempted to bring the protestor down but he refused until the authorities take steps to allow him to meet the President.
He says he has some grievances which he alleges that the authorities have turned a blind eye.
He carries posters of President Rajapaksa with him.
