<p>Sarath Fonseka was sentenced to three-year imprisonment by the second Court Martial held today.

<p>The ruling to be approved by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is now in New York to attend the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

<p>The second court martial against Fonseka held for six days to probe his involvement in irregularities in the arms procurement while he was in uniforms.
