A young person who had shot at a teacher at the Siyambalanduwa Navodya school shot and killed himself around 9.15 am today, Police Spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody told Sunday Observer Online.
The Police Spokesman said that the teacher who was injured in the incident was admitted to the Moneragala hospital and the body of the young man who killed himself is now lying at the school premises.
He said the young man had shot one or two rounds at the teacher after a short discussion with her. "The reason for the shooting is not known yet", he added.
Siyambalanduwa Police are conducting investigations.
