Construction work of the Northern Railway line will commence next month, Indian High Commissioner Ashok K. Kantha said today. He said the USD 800 million-project under Indian assistance will start before the end of next month and is expected to be complete within two years.
The High Commissioner said India will also assist Sri Lanka in the Sampur power project and agreements will soon be finalised between the two countries.
