A four member gang linked to theft of vehicles from various parts of the country have been arrested following the recovery of stolen vehicles, by the Chilaw Special Investigating (SIU), the Police media Spokesman SSP Prishantha Jayakody said.
Two stolen cars, two vans, and two motor cycles recovered by the police have been handed over to the Marawila police station to be produced in court. The vehicle used by the suspects has also been taken charge by the police.
Police also learnt that stolen two vans have been sold in Trincomalee and in Ampara areas.
