Hi-tec studio for ‘Ranmihitenna’ [September 30 2010]

The Ministry of Mass Media is to invest a further Rs. 300 million to construct a high tech sound proof studio to the Mahinda Rajapaksa Tele Cinema Village also known as Ranmihitenna.

The Ministry is planning to invest around Rs. 250 million for this project and it is expected to be ready in less than three months.

“We will be importing most up to date equipment for this studio,” said Senior Assistant Secretary, Minister of Mass Media, and D. D. Wanninayake.

In addition to provide more facilities to the public who come in large numbers to visit this Tele village would be offered to comfort in traveling in Electric cars. “Groups of around 10 to 12 people could travel in each vehicle and we would provide a driver to each vehicle who would also act as a guide,” he said.

In addition more toilets would be built and water filter too would be introduced in public areas.
