A group of persons posing off as officers from the Ceylon Electricity Board visited houses at Hikkaduwa, Anuradapura and other areas of the country and sold sub standard CFL bulbs at excessive prices by stating their headquarters address, at Sri Lanka Tex Electrical at No. 56/10, Jawatte Road, Bambalapitiya, Colombo 4 with telephone No. 0774496174.
Police have received 110 complaints in this regard. Such persons should be brought to the notice of the police, the Ceylon Electricity Board cautioned the public. (JJ)
