Abeysinghe finishes third in men’s 200m freestyle heats

<P>Sri Lanka’s Matthew Duncan Abeysinghe secured the third place in men’s 200m freestyle heat at the Commonwealth Games swimming competition continued in New Delhi today.

<P>Competing in lane one of the men’s 200m freestyle heat 2, Abeysinghe was in the second place after the first 100m at the turn but finally settled to the third place with a timing of one minute, 53.56 seconds. Two Singaporeans – Ren Teo (1:56.23) and Jeramy Kevin Matthews (1:56.24) finished ahead of Abeysinghe.
