Commonwealth Games – Archery: Sri Lanka beat Scotland before losing to India in quarters [October 06 2010]

Sri Lanka edged out Scotland 199-197 to enter the quarter finals of the men’s archery team event at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi today.

Sri Lanka team, comprising Sangeeth Seneviratne, Indranath Perera and Chamonda Lakmal Rajasinghe, collected 50, 49, 51, 49 to total 199 points. Scotland had 48, 55, 46, 48 in the four rounds total 197.

But Sri Lanka team’s joy lasted only for a couple of hours before they were beaten by the hosts India 213-205 in the quarter finals worked off a short while ago.
