Shashikala half century helps Sri Lanka make 220 for 6 in 50 overs [October 10 2010]

Sri Lanka, put into bat, made 220 for 6 in 50 oversin their ICC Women’s Cricket Challenge match against Pakistan played at Potchefstroom, South Africa today.

Despite losing the first wicket with five runs on the board, Sri Lanka’s modest total was boosted by a 73-run partnership for the second wicket between opener Chamari Polgampola and Suwini de Alwis. But the highest contributor towards Sri Lanka’s modest total was Shashikala Siriwardene who made a brilliant half century.
