Sri Lanka’s largest saltern, spans to over 1,800 acres, has commenced construction in Kurumpity, Trincomalee, recently.
The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development sources said the saltern, which would generate over 800 direct job opportunities, would produce over 50,000 metric tones of salt annually.
