With the decision of holding the National Independence Day in 2011 in Kataragama, development projects estimated for Rs. 15,000 million will be carried out in the Monaragala district.
President mahinda Rajapaksa will address the nation at the venue at Kataragama Rajaveediya, where the Independence Day parade will be held.
The “Deyata Kirula” exhibition will be held at Buttala also in the Moneragala district for 10 days.
The projects including infrastructure facilities will be completed before February 4, 2011.
The renovation of irrigation tanks and reservoirs, roadways, hospitals and other common facilities have been identified as projectes under this district development projects in the Monaragala district.
