Peliyagoda Police is looking for a female lover suspected for the death of a man who was burnt to death in Peliyagoda.
According to the Police, the man’s jilted lover had allegedly set his room on fire. Initial investigations has disclosed that the woman had come into the house while he was sleeping and poured petrol over the bed before setting it on fire. She has fled the scene after locking the door from outside to prevent the man escaping.
The Police has identified the victim as Upali Karunaratna, a 33-year-old married man, who had been living alone at the time.
