Police anti riot squad to defuse tension at Ruhuna University [October 19 2010]

Authorities at the University of Ruhuna were compelled to call Police anti riot squad to defuse tension between two rival student factions in Matara later this evening.

At lease eight students who were injured during the lash were admitted to Matara Hospital. Matara Police is making further investigations.
