Sixteen illegal drug dealers nab

<p>In a cordon and search operation carried out with over 1,300
policemen, 16 suspects have been taken into police custody over
possession of illegal drugs, today.

<p>The operation, which commenced from 3 am to 10 am, had searched over
1,700 houses from Panadura to Mount Lavinia.

<p>Police Spokesman SP  Preshantha Jayakody said that heroin, ganja,
babul and some illegal substances were found during the search
operation.

<p>The Police commenced the search operation in a new move to control
drug menace in the Western Province.
