Another group of refugees back     [October 22 2010]

Fifty-two Lankan refugees, who were found shelter in the refugee camps in the State of TamilNadu returned to Sri Lanka. The returnees were mainly from the areas of Mannar, Tricomalee and Mullaitivu. They left the island several years ago when the conflict was at its peak.

The returnees said that they were willing to live in their original places instead of living as refugees under difficult conditions in TamilNadu. They also said that the Government should provide necessary assistance for them to lead a secure life.
