Peace woos international investors [October 29 2010]

Peace and stability ushered by the President Mahinda Rajapakse led government is wooing international investors to look at Sri Lanka as a growth led economy.

In addition many top government officials from Pakistan, India, China and Germany are also scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month.

Many international visitors will be in Sri Lanka next month among them are Pakistan President Azif Ali Zardari, three top level ministers from India, a high level representative of Chinese President Hu Jintao as well as a parliamentary delegation from Germany.

External Affairs Minister Professor G.L. Peiris addressing the 31st annual conferernce of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka said that Pakistant President Azif Ali Zardari will be in Sri Lanka in November.

In addition Ministers S.M. Krishna, Sri Anand Sharma and Kapil Shibal also are scheduled to visit our country next month. External Affairs minister S.M. Krishna,Trade and Commerce minister Sri Anand Sharma,Human Resource minister Kapil Shibal will be in Sri Lanka . Chinese President Hu Jintao will send a high level representative to see the first ship sail from Hambantota on November 17 a day prior to President Mahinda Rajapakse assuming duties for the second term. In addition another delegation of German Parlimentarians are also scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month.
