New fishing gear manufacturing plant in North

<p>A fisheries equipment manufacturing plant will be set up at a cost of Rs.
150 million in the North with the financial assistance of India,
Traditional and Small enterprise Development Ministry Secretary
Sivagnasothi said.
<p>This plant will produce quality fishing nets for the fishermen in the
Jaffna peninsula. Modern technology will be used in the manufacturing
process, Sivagnasothi added.
