The majority of the university students who were controlled by a group of few JVP students for the past 12 years, have now come forward to resist their dictates, Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake told the Sunday Observer Online.
As a result, this JVP backed student group has found it difficult to continue their “campaign of suppression” in universities any longer. This is the type of problem in the universities. Else there is no student unrest in universities, the Minister said.
