Huge demand to view Upper Kotmale tunnel

<P>The project committee of the Upper Kothmale Hydro Power Project has
decided extend the public viewing facility of the project for five
more days in two stages.
<P>President Mahinda Rajapaksha Ceremonially Opened Water Tunnel
yesterday and the public would be given the opportunity to view the
tunnel until November 7.
<P>The Project committee decided to extend the public viewing facility
for another five days from 17 to 21.
<P>An official from the CEB said that there was an unprecedented response
from the public to witness the tunnel and over 5,000 people were able
to be a part of the history by going inside the tunnel on the first
day. “Due to this we had to hire two additional buses as well,” he
said.
