‘Comoran Strike’ for soldiers [November 10 2010]

Over 2500 security personel from the tri-services will take part in the first ever Sea, Air and Land training exercise call ‘Comoran Strike’ from November 21.

Military spokesman Maj. Gen. Ubhaya Medawala said the nine day training session will be held in silawatura, Mannar and the aim of launching the program was to develop their skills in decision making and commanding capabilities.

“ This is done on the directives of the Army Commander Lit. Gen Jagath Jayasuriya. Over 1,600 soldiers from the Army Commandoes and the Special Forces will take part in the exercise”, he said.
