Sri Lanka’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Maj. Gen. Shavendra Silva has been summoned to appear before the Colombo High Court as a witness to the ‘White Flag’ case on November 15.
He was the former General Officer Commanding of the 58 Division. When the case was heard today the Government Deputy Solicitor General stated that it was necessary to hear the witness of Maj. Gen. Silva as he is the third witness to the case.
