SME University soon [November 16 2010]

The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) has decided to establish a SME University with the support of Japanese International Co-operation Agency for the skill development of entrepreneurs, Industry and Commerce Minister Rishard Bathudeen told the Parliament.

He said that with the support extended by the Government to encourage Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector, it will certainly accelerate the economic growth of Sri Lanka.

The Industry and Commerce Ministry will continue to ensure the SME sector which is the back borne of the country’s economy several policy measures have been introduced to help the local industries especially the SMES.
