Govt. policy strengthened foriegn relations [November 24 2010]

External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris told the parliament that the Government’s Foreign policy has facilitated the country’s international relations to reach unprecedented heights in recent times.

A large number of foreign leaders are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka to further strengthen their relationship with the country.

Prof. Peiris participating in the debate on the second reading of the budget 2011 told the House these state visits would help to further strengthen our international relations.

The Minister said Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardani, Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna and Industrial Minister Sri Anand Sharma, Commonwealth Foreign Minister Alistare Kay and a Malaysian delation are due to arrive Sri Lanka in the next few days.
