Bad weather puts off opening of Indian consulate in H’tota [November 26 2010]

The opening of the Indian consulate in Hambantota, which was scheduled in the afternoon today, was postponed due to bad weather and will be opened by the visiting Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna on Sunday.

Minister Krishna is to travel to Jaffna and Medawachchiya tomorrow to lay the foundation for the Indian government funded housing project for 50,000 houses. He will also attend commissioning of the Railway line restoration project. (MSF)
