Pakistan arrests a terrorist attacked Lankan cricketers [November 30 2010]

Pakistan Police has arrested a main suspect of the March 2009 attackon the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. Six players injured and six escorting policemen dead in the attack. Organized Crime (CIA) wing of the Pakistani city police has confirmed the arrest of accused Qari Abdul Wahab alias Umar alias Farhan alias Behram alias Umar Daraz son of Akbar.

Officials of the Crime Wing (CIA) have said that he was identified with the help of the footage of the attack, and confirmed that the arrested terrorist was one of the shooters, and he was arrested yesterday. The officials said that he belonged to Dera Ismael Khan area, and was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

He also facilitated attackers on Ahmadi worship places, they said.
