Hand grenade attack in N’Eliya Police station

<p>Police sources said the blast inside the Nuwara Eliya Police station
was due to an explosion of a hand grenade lobbed by a person in
custody.

<p>He was arrested over possessing of ganja. The suspect detonated the
grenade while questioning. He died in the blast injuring 15 policemen
including the OIC and HQI.

<p>They were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya hospital and are in critical condition.
