SL can be proud of resettlement – US [December 31 2010]

The US said the Sri Lankan government, which faced enormous challenges at the end of the war, has every right to be proud of its progress in resettlement.  

U.S. Ambassador in Sri Lanka Patricia A. Butenis said at a ceremony held to hand over emergency food aid to support resettled IDPs in the North said the US government was proud to have contributed to this massive effort.

US announced a donation of USD 5.5 million of food aid to support the returning IDPs.
