The Foreign Employment Bureau (FEB) has temporarily suspend sending Sri Lankans to Egypt for employment due to the prevailing tense situation.
The decision was taken by the Minister of Foreign Employment and Welfare Dilan Perera considering the welfare and safety of the Sri Lankans.
FEB sources said Sri Lankan Embassy in Egypt has been instructed to ensure the safety of Sri Lankans who are already working in Egypt.
