Public announcements via loudspeakers have been made by the police in Vavuniya, inviting the general public to cooperate with them in eradicating violence in the region, yesterday.
According to source, the robberies and other illegal activities are on the increase in Vavuniya. Therefore, the police has sought the public assistance to counter the unlawful situation.
