SL Army training for SAARC [January 07 2011]

The Sri Lankan Army (SLA) is to train military personnel from the SARRC region including India and Parkistan, in counter-terrorism operations.

A training program for three SARRC countries – India, Parkistan and Bangladesh- will be conducted to share the SLA’s expertise.

The Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya said the training programs would also be conducted for other countries.

The trainees will be given jungle trainings in SLA’s Commando Training School in Kuda-Oya.
