SL Army training for SAARC

<P>The Sri Lankan Army (SLA) is to train military personnel from the SARRC region including India and Parkistan, in counter-terrorism operations.

<P>A training program for three SARRC countries – India, Parkistan and Bangladesh- will be conducted to share the SLA’s expertise.

<P>The Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya said the training programs would also be conducted for other countries.

<P>The trainees will be given jungle trainings in SLA’s Commando Training School in Kuda-Oya.
