Govt. spends over Rs. 138 m for flood relief

<P>The government has spent over Rs. 138 million to provide relief to
displaced people in flood hit areas, Disaster Management Minister
Mahinda Amarawera said.

<P>With 23 deaths and displacing nearly one million people, he said the
present disaster situation has created a similar disaster situation to
tsunami in 2004.
