SLN’s biggest challenge tacking human smuggling [January 15 2011]

The biggest challenge the Sri Lanka Navy facing today is to prevent the threat posed to the country from the sea by way of arms and human smuggling, drug trafficking and other illegal sea operations without allowing those elements to raise their heads again, Vice Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake.

Talking to media at the Navy Headquarters the newly appointed Navy Commander said that was what the country expect from the Sri Lanka avy.

"We have to keep the sea territory free of those illegal activities", he added.
