The United Nations will launch a Flash Appeal for emergency funds to assist people affected by floods in Sri Lanka.
The fund will be launched during two-day visit of the UN’s Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Catherine Bragg, who is scheduled to arrive Sri Lanka tomorrow.
Being the Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, this is Bragg’s first visit to Sri Lanka. She is to meet top government officials, donors and aid agencies.
