With the aim of giving the Northern people an opportunity to publish their stories and to make them aware of the development taking place in the Northern province, the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (ANCL) has decided to print the Northern edition of the Thinakaran Newspaper in Jaffna.
Launching the new-look Thinakaran, ANCL Chairman Bandula Padmakumara said the instruction came from the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who went to Jaffna to open the Sangapitty Bridge and also to participate in Thai pongal celebration.
