War crimes call frivolous and mischievous

<p>The government said the request by the Amnesty International (AI) to the United States to initiate a war crimes investigation against President Mahinda Rajapakse was frivolous and mischievous.

<p>The Director General of President’s media Bandula Jayasekara said that president was on a private visit and the call of the AI was frivolous and mischievous.

<p>“ He will come back in a few days”, he said.

<p>The Minister of External Affairs prof. G.L Peiris has accompanied President, who left for the US on Wednesday.
