SL army to host int’l conference

<p>Sri Lanka Army will hold an international conference in May to share its experience in defeating LTTE.

<p>Army Commander Lt. Gen. Jagath Jayasuriya said armies of several countries, including the SAARC region, had been invited to participate in the conference.

<p>Sri Lankan military defeated the LTTE in May 19, 2009.

<p>He said there were requests from armies of several countries to provide combat training to their army personnel.
