Sri Lanka is to implement the Visa on arrival policy soon and the pilot project in this regard is expected to be conducted from March 31.

“This would be for a period of three months,” said Chairman Sri Lanka Tourism, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa. A final decision would then be taken.

He said that there would likely be a Visa fee as well. But all tourists could obtain visa online and they do not have to go to embassies to obtain visa.

However nationals from Nepal, Maldives and Singapore which provide visa on arrival for Sri Lankans would be exempted from this.
