'Visa' pilot project in March

<P>Sri Lanka is to implement the Visa on arrival policy soon and the pilot project in this regard is expected to be conducted from March 31.

<P>“This would be for a period of three months,” said Chairman Sri Lanka Tourism, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa. A final decision would then be taken.

<P>He said that there would likely be a Visa fee as well. But all tourists could obtain visa online and they do not have to go to embassies to obtain visa.

<P>However nationals from Nepal, Maldives and Singapore which provide visa on arrival for Sri Lankans would be exempted from this.
