Nomination papers filed by the UPFA for 16 local bodies in Jaffna, Nuwara-Eliya Provincial Councils and the Lindula-Talawakele Urban Council were rejected, today.
The nominations were rejected as the nomination lists, which were registered under the United People's Freedom Front (UPFF) before, have been submitted under the UPFA.
Meanwhile, nominations for four local bodies in the Killinochchi District have also been rejected.
