Navy rescues rare turtles

<P>Troops attached to Sri Lanka Navy rescued three rare turtles at Thaulpadu beach and taken three people into custody.

<P>Three persons were handed over to the Mannar Police by the navy personnel attached to the  Gajaba unit in the North Central Naval Command.

<P>Three turtles weighing 20Kgs, 15Kgs and 8Kgs were taken to be killed for meat were released into the sea later.
