Appointment letters for 316 new PCs for Jaffna [February 06 2011]

316 new Police Constables including 19 Women Police Constables from Jaffna who passed out after a six-month of training at the Police Training School, Kalutara received their appointment letters at a ceremony at the Vembadi Girls High School in Jaffna today.

The new Police Constables from Jaffna and their parents will also be feted at a ceremony presided over by the Senior Superintendent of Police - Jaffna Neville Pathamadeva, according to the Ministry of Defence. The Police Constables who received their appointment letters will be posted to 16 police divisions in the Jaffna peninsula to handle duties and work in Tamil language, sources said.
