The government has introduced an islandwide orogram to promote a home gardning systen to face worldwide food crisis. Economic Develoment Minister Basil Rajapaksa said today that 100,000 home garden units across the country have been identified for the program ained at producing vegetables, fruirs, eggs, milk and meat fron housing units itself.
He added thta the program has already been implemented and rural instructors are being trained at district level.
