World Cup warm-up game shifted from Pallekele? [February 07 2011]

Sri Lanka’s opening 2011 ICC World Cup warm up match against Netherlands is likely to be shifted to Colombo due to the prevailing weather conditions in Kandy.

The match is scheduled to be played at the reconstructed Pallekele International Stadium on February 12. ICC Tournament Director for Sri Lanka Suraj Dandeniya stated that their intentions are to play the match at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Sooriyawewa, Hambanthota.
